GIC Insights is GIC’s annual thought leadership event, where top leaders from GIC’s key partners, investee companies, and counterparties convene to muse about long-term issues concerning business and investment. In 2019, Idea Ink’s strengths were tapped upon to illustrate insights and create adaptations for information dissemination across diverse platforms.
At GIC Insights 2019, held on 19 September 2019, over 150 guests discussed finding the middle ground in an increasingly polarised world fraught with uncertainties.
We wielded our markers and graphic recorded on physical boards during the event, where our versatile visual summaries were adapted into 3 different forms — a modular sketch wall displayed during the event, a sketch tower for GIC’s office constructed post-event, and digital adaptations for social media sharing.
A modular sketch wall, displayed on-site, enabled convenient viewing of our physical graphic recordings at the event. Compact square boards were used, with illustrations and text sizes increased to enhance readability.
Besides providing a big-picture overview of the key insights presented, the modular sketch wall also served as a photogenic backdrop for group shots!
After the event, the boards were dismounted from the wall. The lightweight boards were rearranged to form 2 free-standing sketch towers at GIC. Besides adding bursts of colours to the workplace, they also serve as informative reminders of the event.
Post-event, Idea Ink digitised our physical graphic recordings to create animated GIFs that can be shared as Instagram stories to extend the reach of GIC Insights in this social media age.
