Translating 5 years of global policy collaborations into a set of infographics.
How does one translate 5 years of global policy collaborations into a set of infographics?
Here’s what we did for ETH Zurich and Singapore’s National Research Foundation to do exactly that.
ETH Zurich is a world-class academic institution located in Zurich, Switzerland. Since 2010, their joint initiative with Singapore’s National Research Foundation — the Singapore-ETH Centre — has been steadily adding to Singapore’s and Switzerland’s understanding of global environmental sustainability.
In January 2020, their Future Cities Lab (FCL) research programme asked us to illustrate their latest publication, Future Cities Lab: Indicia 03 – a culmination of 5 years’ worth of research on urban design and the planning of sustainable future cities.
Over the span of a year, we worked closely with the FCL team to bring their brilliant ideas to life. Based on their complex concepts and terminologies, we drafted and fleshed out 75 illustrations to adorn the pages of their publication, several of which can be seen below. We’ve also included some initial drafts to highlight our design process.
By January 2021, we had fully illustrated this 368-page tome, which made its debut on the shelves this year.
